PRIVACY POLICY

§ 1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Privacy Policy of Métier LLC ("Métier," "we," "our," or "us").

This Privacy Policy explains how Métier collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you access or use:

  • workmetier.com;
  • the Métier mobile applications;
  • Métier Spaces;
  • Métier Hours;
  • Métier Commons;
  • Métier Events;
  • future Métier software, products, and services;
  • any websites, applications, or services that link to this Privacy Policy.

By using the Platform, creating an account, making a reservation, attending an event, or otherwise interacting with Métier, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of the Platform.


§ 2. OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY

Métier values the privacy of our Users, Workspace Partners, Event Hosts, participating businesses, and community members.

We are committed to:

  • collecting only information reasonably necessary to operate the Platform;
  • maintaining reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards;
  • being transparent regarding our information practices;
  • respecting applicable privacy rights;
  • continually improving our security and privacy practices as the Platform evolves.

§ 3. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through:

  • the Métier website;
  • the Métier mobile applications;
  • online account registration;
  • workspace reservations;
  • event registrations;
  • Métier Commons;
  • Métier Hours;
  • customer support communications;
  • marketing communications;
  • surveys;
  • social media interactions where applicable.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, Workspace Partners, Event Hosts, payment processors, or businesses that maintain separate privacy policies.

Users should review the privacy policies of any third-party businesses with whom they interact.

For purposes of applicable privacy laws, Métier LLC is the organization responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing personal information collected through the Platform unless otherwise stated.


§ 4. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Depending upon how you use the Platform, Métier may collect the following categories of information.

A. Account Information

When creating an account, we may collect:

  • first and last name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • mailing address;
  • profile photograph;
  • username;
  • password (stored in encrypted or hashed form where applicable);
  • professional information you choose to provide.

B. Profile Information

You may voluntarily provide:

  • biography;
  • profession;
  • company;
  • industry;
  • website;
  • LinkedIn profile;
  • interests;
  • networking preferences;
  • profile images;
  • community participation.

C. Booking Information

When making reservations, we may collect:

  • Workspace selected;
  • reservation dates;
  • reservation times;
  • duration;
  • number of attendees;
  • booking preferences;
  • cancellation history;
  • reservation history;
  • communications relating to bookings.

D. Payment Information

Payments are processed through third-party payment processors, including Stripe.

Métier may receive limited payment-related information, including:

  • payment confirmation;
  • transaction amount;
  • billing ZIP code;
  • payment status;
  • transaction identification numbers.

Métier does not store complete payment card numbers, CVV codes, or other sensitive payment credentials on its own systems.

E. Communications

When communicating with Métier, Workspace Partners, or other Users, we may collect:

  • emails;
  • customer support requests;
  • messages;
  • chat communications;
  • event inquiries;
  • survey responses;
  • feedback;
  • bug reports.

F. User Content

The Platform may collect information you voluntarily submit, including:

  • reviews;
  • ratings;
  • photographs;
  • videos;
  • comments;
  • discussion posts;
  • event listings;
  • workspace descriptions;
  • uploaded documents where functionality permits.

G. Device Information

When accessing the Platform, we may automatically collect information including:

  • operating system;
  • device type;
  • IP address;
  • approximate geographic location derived from IP address;
  • language preferences;
  • referring website;
  • pages visited;
  • session duration;
  • clickstream information;
  • diagnostic information.

H. Business Information

Workspace Partners, participating businesses, Event Hosts, and organizations may voluntarily provide business information including:

  • business name;
  • business address;
  • business telephone number;
  • business email;
  • website;
  • social media accounts;
  • photographs;
  • operating hours;
  • amenities;
  • pricing information;
  • Workspace descriptions.

Métier may display this information publicly to facilitate reservations and improve the User experience.


§ 5. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Métier uses cookies, pixels, web beacons, local storage technologies, and similar tracking technologies to improve the functionality, security, and performance of the Platform.

Cookies may be used to:

  • remember your login session;
  • remember user preferences;
  • personalize your experience;
  • improve Platform performance;
  • analyze traffic and usage;
  • prevent fraud;
  • maintain security;
  • support marketing and advertising initiatives.

Some cookies are essential for Platform functionality and cannot be disabled without affecting core services.

Users may manage cookie preferences through their browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may impact Platform functionality.


§ 6. ANALYTICS

Métier may utilize third-party analytics providers to better understand how Users interact with the Platform.

These providers may collect information regarding:

  • pages visited;
  • session duration;
  • navigation paths;
  • click behavior;
  • browser information;
  • operating systems;
  • approximate geographic location;
  • referring websites;
  • application crashes;
  • performance metrics.

Analytics data is used to improve user experience, identify technical issues, develop new features, measure engagement, and enhance Platform performance.

Analytics providers maintain their own privacy practices.


§ 7. LOCATION INFORMATION

Certain Platform features may require location information.

Depending upon your device settings, Métier may collect:

  • approximate location based upon IP address;
  • city and state information;
  • GPS location if you expressly grant permission;
  • search location preferences.

Location information may be used to:

  • display nearby Workspaces;
  • recommend cafés participating in Métier Hours;
  • display Events;
  • improve search results;
  • personalize recommendations.

Users may disable precise location permissions through device settings.

Certain Platform features may become unavailable if location services are disabled.


§ 8. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

Métier uses personal information for legitimate business purposes, including to:

  • create and manage User accounts;
  • facilitate Workspace reservations;
  • process payments;
  • communicate with Users;
  • verify identity;
  • provide customer support;
  • facilitate Event registrations;
  • administer Métier Hours;
  • operate Métier Commons;
  • personalize Platform experiences;
  • recommend Workspaces and Events;
  • improve Platform functionality;
  • detect fraud;
  • investigate suspicious activity;
  • maintain security;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • enforce our Terms of Service;
  • develop new products and services;
  • perform research and analytics;
  • communicate marketing materials where permitted by law.

Information may also be used in connection with future premium memberships, enterprise offerings, artificial intelligence tools, and additional Platform features as they become available.

Where applicable law requires, Métier processes personal information on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • to perform contractual obligations associated with providing the Platform;
  • to comply with legal obligations;
  • to protect the vital interests of Users or others;
  • to pursue Métier's legitimate business interests, including improving and securing the Platform;
  • based upon User consent where required by applicable law.

Where processing is based upon consent, Users may withdraw such consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limitations.

Métier may utilize aggregated and de-identified information to analyze Platform usage, improve existing services, develop new products, conduct business analytics, and measure overall Platform performance. Such information does not identify individual Users.


§ 9. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

Métier does not sell personal information for monetary compensation.

We may share information in the following circumstances:

Workspace Partners

Information necessary to facilitate reservations, including:

  • User name;
  • reservation information;
  • contact information where necessary;
  • booking details.

Workspace Partners may independently collect additional information subject to their own privacy policies.

Event Hosts

Information necessary to administer an Event, including:

  • registration information;
  • attendee names;
  • contact information where appropriate;
  • accessibility requests voluntarily provided.

Métier Hours Partners

Participating businesses may receive limited information necessary to validate promotions, discounts, loyalty benefits, or other Métier Hours offers.

Service Providers

Métier works with trusted third-party providers who perform services on our behalf, including:

  • payment processing;
  • website hosting;
  • cloud infrastructure;
  • analytics;
  • authentication;
  • customer support;
  • email delivery;
  • marketing;
  • communications;
  • security monitoring.

These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services.

Legal Compliance

Métier may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law;
  • comply with legal process;
  • respond to lawful governmental requests;
  • protect the rights or property of Métier;
  • investigate fraud;
  • protect the safety of Users or the public;
  • enforce our Terms of Service.

Business Transactions

If Métier LLC participates in a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, bankruptcy, reorganization, or similar corporate transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Métier will use reasonable efforts to ensure any successor entity honors the commitments contained within this Privacy Policy or provides legally required notice of material changes.

Do Not Sell or Share Personal Information

As of the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy, Métier LLC does not sell Users' personal information for monetary compensation. Métier also does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising except as described in this Privacy Policy. If Métier's data practices materially change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly, and any additional rights required by applicable law will be honored.


§ 10. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

As Métier evolves, certain Platform features may utilize artificial intelligence, machine learning, recommendation engines, or other automated technologies.

These technologies may be used to:

  • recommend Workspaces;
  • personalize search results;
  • suggest networking opportunities;
  • improve customer support;
  • summarize information;
  • identify fraudulent activity;
  • improve Platform performance.

Métier does not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on Users based solely upon automated processing unless permitted by applicable law.

Users remain responsible for evaluating recommendations before making decisions.


§ 11. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Users may receive communications relating to:

  • account activity;
  • reservations;
  • Workspace updates;
  • Events;
  • Métier Hours;
  • newsletters;
  • promotional offers;
  • product announcements;
  • surveys.

Users may opt out of promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions contained within those communications.

Métier may continue sending transactional or legally required communications even after promotional communications have been declined.


§ 12. DATA RETENTION

Métier retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the Platform and its services;
  • maintain User accounts;
  • facilitate reservations and Events;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • resolve disputes;
  • enforce agreements;
  • detect fraud;
  • protect the security and integrity of the Platform.

Retention periods vary depending upon the type of information collected and applicable legal requirements.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, Métier will securely delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of such information in accordance with applicable law and our internal retention practices.

Certain information may be retained longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including accounting, tax, litigation, fraud prevention, or regulatory compliance.

Certain information relating to completed reservations, financial transactions, legal claims, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, tax obligations, or dispute resolution may be retained after account closure for the period reasonably necessary to satisfy those obligations.


§ 13. DATA SECURITY

Métier maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These safeguards may include:

  • encrypted communications;
  • secure hosting environments;
  • password protection;
  • access controls;
  • authentication procedures;
  • security monitoring;
  • routine software updates;
  • fraud detection measures.

Although Métier strives to protect personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Accordingly, Métier cannot guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and should immediately notify Métier of any suspected unauthorized access.

Email Communications

Electronic communications transmitted over the internet may not always be secure.

Users should avoid sending highly sensitive personal information through unsecured email unless specifically requested by Métier through secure channels.

Security Incidents

In the event Métier determines that a security incident involving personal information has occurred, Métier will investigate the incident and provide notifications as required by applicable law.


§ 14. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Subject to applicable law, Users may have certain rights regarding their personal information.

These rights may include the ability to:

  • access personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of certain information;
  • request a copy of personal information;
  • object to certain processing activities;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based upon consent.

Métier will respond to verified privacy requests within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable law.

Certain requests may be denied where permitted or required by law, including where information must be retained for legal, contractual, accounting, fraud prevention, or security purposes.

Privacy requests may be submitted to the contact information listed at the end of this Privacy Policy.

Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their Platform account by contacting Métier using the information provided in this Privacy Policy.

Deletion requests are subject to legal, contractual, accounting, fraud prevention, security, and dispute resolution obligations.

Certain information may remain in backup systems, archived records, or transaction histories for legitimate business or legal purposes.

Deleting an account does not automatically cancel completed transactions or eliminate obligations arising from prior use of the Platform.


§ 15. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Platform is intended for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Métier does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13).

If Métier becomes aware that personal information has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, reasonable steps will be taken to delete such information.

Parents or legal guardians who believe their child has submitted information to Métier may contact us using the information provided below.


§ 16. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, applications, booking systems, payment processors, or other online services.

Métier is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, or policies of third-party services.

Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of any third-party service before providing personal information.

Users are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and protecting the confidentiality of their login credentials. Users should immediately notify Métier of any suspected unauthorized access or misuse of their accounts.


§ 17. INTERNATIONAL USERS

The Platform is primarily intended for Users located within the United States.

If Users access the Platform from outside the United States, they acknowledge that their information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where Métier or its service providers operate.

By using the Platform, international Users consent to such transfers where permitted by applicable law.


§ 18. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Métier may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • changes in Platform functionality;
  • legal requirements;
  • security practices;
  • new products or services;
  • operational improvements.

When material changes are made, Métier will:

  • update the Effective Date;
  • publish the revised Privacy Policy on the Platform; and
  • where appropriate, provide additional notice to Users.

Continued use of the Platform following the effective date of any revised Privacy Policy constitutes acknowledgment of the updated Privacy Policy.
